This one day workshop on 1 February 2018, 10:00-17:30 (GMT), in Manchester (UK) will bring together city practitioners, critical infrastructure providers and experts on climate change adaptation and resilience in cities to exchange knowledge and plan for future collaboration on urban climate change adaptation. The cities of Greater Manchester and Bratislava (Slovakia) will open a dialogue with their peers from the cities of Burgas (Bulgaria), Vilnius (Lithuania), Radom (Poland), Sfantu Gheorghe (Romania), Lahti (Finland), Newcastle (UK), Reykjavik (Iceland), Ghent (Belgium) and Nijmegen (Netherlands) to explore possible solutions to the challenges and stresses they are currently facing as a result of climate change, particularly in light of the resilience of critical infrastructures.

Hear how your organisation can more easily and effectively make decisions to build resilience and adapt to climate change as part of a coordinated framework, with the help of a new suite of decision-support tools co-developed by cities and researchers.

Meet local government representatives and researchers working together for resilient infrastructure across Europe. Hear about approaches to building city resilience in countries such as Belgium, Finland, Poland, Iceland, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, the Netherlands and the UK.
