Launch of Urban Transport Roadmaps policy tool

13 April 2016, 16:15 - 19:00
Bremen, Germany

On 13 April 2016 the Urban Transport Roadmaps tool will be launched at an event in Bremen (Germany). The web-based tool, which is supported by the European Commission's DG MOVE, is designed to explore transport scenarios that are practical, feasible and implementable. By using the tool, political and technical decision-makers can find a suitable mix of measures to realise the goals of their Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs).

Speakers from the European Commission and cities will frame the issue of scenario planning and how the tool can help with this task. There will then be a panel discussion on the importance of exploring different combinations of mobility measures. Finally, participants at the event will be able to try out the tool at a reception immediately afterwards.

The launch event will take place at the end of the 3rd European Conference on SUMPs which also takes place in Bremen from 12 - 13 April. Participation at the event is free, although registration is required.
