SMR City Resilience Conference

The final event for the cities of the Smart Mature Resilience project will take place on 24 April 2018, back to back with Open European Day at Bonn Resilient Cities. The event will bring together the four tiers of the Smart Mature Resilience project.

The programme will open with a networking lunch. A city roundtable will include; Towards a European Resilience Management Guideline – lessons learnt, challenges and outlook: Jose M. Sarriegi, Project Coordinator, TECNUN; Co-creation approaches to resilience planning: Lessons from the SMR pilot implementation: Vasileios Latinos, Officer, Sustainable Resources, Climate and Resilience, ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability; Shared insights on boosting local progress for resilience – how the cities made use of the SMR knowledge to further building local resilience: Pierluigi Potenza, City of Rome (Italy), Judith Moreno, City of San Sebastian (Spain), Silje Solvang, City of Kristiansand (Norway).

Following the roundtable, facilitated in-depth discussions will be held in smaller groups, building on city experiences and their lessons learned and building on relevant questions. Speakers: Enrico Ponte, Risk and Resilience Expert, Geoadaptive, City of Turin (Italy); Marco Cardinaletti, Project Manager, Region of Emilia-Romagna (Italy); Helena Perxacs Motgé, City of Barcelona (Spain).

Finally, representatives of DIN will provide an overview of standardization activities within the SMR project.
