The Welsh Government EU Office and ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability held the 26th Breakfast at Sustainability's (B@S) on Tuesday 21 November 2017 in Brussels (Belgium) on the topic of innovative urban waste reduction strategies – the UrbanWINS approach.

The UrbanWINS project analyses how cities consume resources and products, how they digest them, and how they eliminate the waste produced. By understanding their urban metabolism, cities can better decide how to improve their plans to reduce, reuse and recycle waste - moving from a linear make, use, dispose economy to a circular one.

This event drew on the expertise and experiences of the UrbanWINS project consortium and leading figures in the fields of waste and the circular economy.
