Culture and Sustainable Energy: Today and tomorrow

Breakfast at Sustainability's are small informal meetings hosted by Bxl Representations of regional & local governments. Topics covered are related to sustainable community development which is essential to public authorities, ranging from climate change issues to waste management, land use, water issues, clean transport, green energy and many more. On 15 September, climate change and energy security was put under the microscope. Both areas require urgent local climate and energy action - by people using technology and changing their behaviour by switching to clean fuels. Speakers included a representative from Hamburg (Germany) the Green Capital of Europe 2011, who talked about renewable technologies and a representative from Malmö (Sweden), who discussed how to change the behaviour of citizens and make the switch to clean fuels.
