14th Breakfast at Sustainability’s
Performing better through integrated sustainability management – the RFSC tool
- CEMR, Square De Meeûs 1
The Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) and ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability hosted the 14th “Breakfast at Sustainability’s” (B@S) under the patronage of the Urban Intergroup of the European Parliament on "Performing better through integrated sustainability management – the RFSC tool."
The Reference Framework for European Sustainable Cities (RFSC) is a free online toolkit designed to help cities promote and enhance their work on integrated sustainable urban development. A joint initiative of the Member States, the European Commission and European organisations of local governments, the RFSC gives a common space and language to the community of cities that are interested in learning from each other, while respecting the diversity of local priorities.
Expert speakers from the EU (European Parliament, European Commission), the national (French government) and local (CEMR, ICLEI, RFSC Cities) level contributed to the event.
The ICLEI B@S was followed by an RFSC training session. The session provided a short and comprehensive introduction to the RFSC tool, including benefits, opportunities and tailored strategies for sustainable urban development.
