Cities and towns invited to host sustainable mobility peer-exchanges

Towns and cities are invited to apply to host sustainable mobility peer-exchange activities – that can take the form of study visits or work placements – in 2020.

Host cities enjoy a wide variety of benefits, including the opportunity to showcase their achievements in the field of sustainable mobility to fellow towns and cities from across and beyond Europe. They also have the chance to exchange and learn from peers facing similar transport challenges. In addition, hosts will be interviewed for an article to be featured on the CIVITAS website and disseminated to European media outlets, and will be offered speaking slots at high-level European events.

Peer exchanges are part of the CIVITAS project; the CIVITAS team will provide financial and organisational support to host cities. In total between 2017 and 2020, CIVITAS will have organised 20 work placements or study visits for city representatives to learn from and exchange knowledge on their sustainable urban mobility measures and programmes.

To become a 2020 host city, download an application form here, and send the completed form to Arianna Americo at arianna.americo@eurocities.eu by 15 September 2019.
