ADWICE Stakeholder Exchange Conference

Adapting Drinking Water resources to the Impacts of Climate change in Europe

2 October 2012
Brussels, Belgium

Climate change will significantly influence the replenishment of drinking water resources, water quality, and water infrastructure. An improved understanding of the vulnerability of drinking water resources in the European Union and available adaptation measures is key to improving future planning. The Adapting Drinking Water resources to the Impacts of Climate change in Europe (ADWICE) Stakeholder Conference will address this pressing issue.

The highly interactive conference will present the draft results of the literature study conducted by a team led by BIO Intelligence Service, in collaboration with ICLEI Europe, Cranfield University (UK), Istituto di Ricerca sulle Acque (Italy) , and the National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (Romania). Stakeholders along with international experts are invited to provide feedback. The event will offer a platform to share knowledge and experiences among scientific researchers, local government leaders, national policy-makers and representatives of European institutions.

Attendance if free of charge. Early registration is advisable to secure a place.
