CIVITAS Training: Cycling 2.0

CIVITAS is organising a free training entitled ‘Cycling 2.0’ on 8 April 2016 in Amsterdam (The Netherlands). The training will showcase the best of Dutch cycling culture, and participants will learn how cycling has gained a foothold in sustainable urban mobility policies through and get to know some state of the art Dutch examples of cycling promotional campaigns. The training aims to support participants in designing effective and creative cycling projects in their own cities. Participants will also have the opportunity to join a cycling tour of Amsterdam.

The training is aimed at transport professionals from European cities and other organisations organised in implementing, promoting, or planning cycling measures. A number of experts will join the training, including Marco te Brömmelstroet from the University of Amsterdam, Meredith Glaser from urban design company Copenhagenize, and Sander Buningh from transport consultants DTV. The training is free of charge but registration by email is necessary as places are limited. Attendance at the event can be combined with Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016.
