Co-creating the climate resilient city

Embedding adaptation into city processes and strategies

12 November 2013, 15.00 - 16.45

The RAMSES Project 1st Webinar “Co-creating the climate resilient city: embedding adaptation into city processes and strategies” taking place on 12 November 2013, will present the 1st Stakeholder Dialogue (SD) themes to a broader audience and build upon the SD results gained through the interaction with participants.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore several themes, framed around questions for the participants to engage with. 'Are we building resilient cities day by day?' is presented by Prof. Annemie Wyckmans, from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. 'How can we plan for adaptation if we don’t know what it will cost us?' is presented by Dr. Graham Floater, from the London School of Economics/Seneca. Finally, 'Measures are necessary to advancing adaptation on the ground, but do cities know what their vision for a transition to resilience is?' is presented by Efrén Feliu from TECNALIA.

These three themes will cover making infrastructure and architecture more resilient, developing cost-assessments for adaptation, and transition patterns for sustainability. Places are limited for this free webinar, and registration is required. Please note that, in order to join the webinar, you will need appropriate players.
