NetworkNature, an ICLEI-led platform, acts as a resource for the nature-based solutions (NBS) community, creating opportunities for local, regional and international cooperation in order to maximise the impact and spread of NBS. Each “semester”, the platform highlights a timely topic in the NBS field, identified in consultation with its community. The current theme is “Nature-based Solutions and Standards”, and covers ensuring high-quality NBS planning and implementation.
Join NetworkNature online on 26 July to discuss the criteria for high-quality NBS, as well as how NBS quality is measured, reported and monitored. Workshop participants will learn:
- The work NetworkNature is doing to promote standardisation processes for high-quality NBS;
- The results of a public questionnaire that was launched to co-determine NBS quality standards;
- Case studies on high-quality NBS;
- Case studies relating to NBS Standards; and
- The Mediterranean perspective on the IUCN Global Standards.
