Local Green Deals in practice: walking the talk with Aalborg and Amsterdam

18 April 2023, 13:30 - 15:00
- Online

Almost one year ago the cities of Aalborg and Amsterdam, set-out to explore how cities can work with local businesses to help localise the European Green Deal in the frame of the CLIMAA project. They are now inviting all interested to take stock, share and discuss their experiences from the project.

They will present a replicable methodology for public-private cooperation in the frame of a Local Green Deal. How was their experience developing it? What are the use-cases and limitations? And how does it link to the new ICC blueprint on Local Green Deals.

To illustrate their approach both cities will present some of the deals they have closed with SMEs in the past months, and let you take a look at what has actually been put on paper.

WHEN: 18 April 2023; 13.30-15.00 CEST
WHERE: Online

Local Green Deals (LGDs) are the local response to the European Green Deal. A Local Green Deal (LGD) is a new approach to accelerate the transformation towards sustainability, based on the principles of good governance, policy integration, partnership with local stakeholders and action. The implementation of LGDs supports SMEs to advance their business models sustainably. This benefits both the robustness of their business models, but also the actual individuals working in the local SMEs.
