This joint final conference presented the sizeable contribution of three IEE co-funded projects: BEn, BioEnerGIS, MAKE-IT-BE to the roll-out of bioenergy potential at a regional level in Europe.

European Commission representatives and project experts shared success stories and exchanged their expertise and experience in supporting local bionergy planning, while the Committee of the Regions addressed the importance of integrated bio-energy partnerships.

A great line-up of high profile speakers ensured that the event represented a unique opportunity to discuss the most advanced solutions in response to local/regional needs, ideally in also using and developing local know-how and institutional capacity to continue with a process that has huge win-win potential.
