Enabling digital resilience: tools, policy frameworks and financial mechanisms

MCR2030 Webinar Series

28 February 2023, 15:00 - 16:30

As part of the MCR2030 Digital Resilience Webinar Series, the third and last webinar of the series will focus on how policy makers can harness the emerging opportunities of digitalisation, as well as the large offer of tools and resources available, to support municipal and institutional governance and urban planning, and build towards an integrated, resilient and green recovery. The webinar will explore how the standardisation of data related to climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction, and bridging the human and technological capacity gaps within city administrations and the private sector, can help to create the enabling environment for financial investments. It will consider which business models and incentives are needed to reap the full potential of integrating  digital resilience understanding  into the overall climate adaptation financial system. Speakers from diverse sectors, including  Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), large companies to entrepreneurs, social innovators and SMEs, will share experiences of implementing digital resilience tools, policy frameworks and financial mechanisms, and formulating digitalisation strategies for sustainable urban development.
