Seven regional partners join an alliance for a speedier energy transition

Speeding up sustainable energy transition takes a whole village. A recent open call has successfully brought seven regional authorities and energy agencies together in a quest to improve this transition. The selected authorities and agencies will receive tailored support, study visits, peer-to-peer guidance and workshops; for their part, they will work to create a new digital framework to share energy transition information.

This community has been convened by the ePLANET project, in which ICLEI Europe is a partner, and which helps regions to launch coordinated energy transition actions.

The seven selected regional authorities and energy agencies are now invited to work in tandem with the ePLANET team. Together, they will work to improve local and regional coordination in order to optimise decision-making processes, coherence and consistency with respect to implementing energy transition measures in towns and cities.

Learn more about the call here, and stay tuned to the ePlanet community’s progress at: https://www.ePLANETh2020.eu/.
