The FA!R PROCURA 2010 Conference is a European event is dedicated to Fair Trade Public Procurement (FTPP) and takes place in Dortmund Westfalenhalle (Germany), on 24 September.

The conference will bring together all the stakeholders the event, providing a platform to share information and engage in discussions with high level European experts. The emphasis will be on how Fair Trade procurement can help public authorities to support sustainable development and make a change for marginalised producers and workers from developing countries.

The programme includes interactive sessions with high level speakers on FTPP from all over Europe, workshops focusing on specific aspects of FTPP such as food - catering, canteens etc. textiles - clothing, uniforms etc. and legal issues. There will also be a session dedicated to the particular FTPP issues in the member states where Fair Trade awareness is low. As a partner in the project ICLEI is helping to organise the conference together with the project coordinator EFTA.
