Bioeconomy, bio-based products and circular economy are frequently discussed concepts relevant to establishing more environmentally- and climate-friendly products. Interested consumers can now test their knowledge about key concepts and labels associated with those products, such as biodegradable, bioplastic or bio-based, with online flashcards.

The flashcards have been developed by the BIOVOICES project to introduce concepts, approaches and the potential of more circular and bio-based economies and products.

They come as one of several activities the project is undertaking to strengthen conversation and collaboration between consumers, industry, public authorities and other key players of the bio-economy and production value chains. In addition to hosting regular Mobilisation and Mutual Learning (MML) workshops, the BIOVOICES project has developed an online platform encouraging discussions, exchange of perspectives and the sharing of innovative new ideas and products.

Interested consumers and stakeholders from industry, researchers, civil society and public authorities that have an interest in discussing the benefits and impact of bioeconomy in society, and increasing social acceptability of bio-based products, can sign up to the platform here.
