ICLEI Members Aalborg, Copenhagen, Cork and Rotterdam shortlisted for Procura+ Awards

The shortlist of nominees for the 2018 Procura+ Awards were recently announced. The awards, which are organised by the Procura+ European Sustainable Procurement network, reward successful, already running, sustainable and innovative public procurements in three categories: Innovation Procurement of the Year, Sustainable Procurement of the Year, and Procurement Initiative of the Year.

Among the nominees were ICLEI Members Copenhagen (Denmark), Cork (Ireland) and Rotterdam (The Netherlands) who were shortlisted in the category of Innovation Procurement of the Year, ICLEI Member Aalborg (Denmark) who was shortlisted in the category of Sustainable Procurement of the Year, and ICLEI Member Barcelona (Spain) who was shortlisted in the category of Procurement Initiative of the Year.

The winners will be announced and the awards presented at a ceremony which will take place during the EcoProcura 2018 conference on sustainable, circular and innovation procurement in Nijmegen (The Netherlands), 3-5 October.

The nominees were chosen after extensive deliberations of a jury comprised of Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh, Mayor of ICLEI Member Malmö (Sweden) and Procura+ Network Chair, Janos Bertok, Head of the Public Sector Integrity Division, OECD, Marzena Rogalska, Acting Director, DG Grow, and Mark Hidson, Global Director ICLEI's Sustainable Procurement Centre.
