The world faces huge challenges in terms of congestion and pollution in the cities, lifestyle diseases, and global warming. Although every city encounters its own specific challenges, there are vital lessons to share. Velo-city Global 2010, taking place from 22 – 25 June in Copenhagen (Denmark), brings together a multitude of voices across geographical and professional borders.

These voices will form a serious platform for the exchange of experience, knowledge, and inspiration. Eye-opening plenary sessions will be combined with diverse subplenary sessions with more than 80 different presentations and a dozen hosted stands in the streets of Copenhagen.There is plenty of input from European cities with study trips to Arhus and Odense (Denmark) and ICLEI member city Malmo (Sweden).

The 2010 edition of the ECF Velo-city conference series is the first Velo-city conference under the name Velo-city Global. Different gears, same destination is the topic, as despite our differences, we are all heading in the same direction.
