Applications for the fourth Call of the CIVITAS Activity Fund are being accepted until 20 November. The Activity Fund invites local governments, universities, civil society organisations and others to apply for co-funding to speed up the transfer of successful measures and tools to make urban mobility in Europe cleaner, safer and more sustainable. €80,000 is available.
Projects funded by past Activity Fund calls include an initiative to reduce speeds near schools in Nikšić (Montenegro), a feasibility study and business case for bike sharing in Szentendre (Hungary), and an award-winning campaign to encourage students and young people to travel by public transport in ICLEI member Lisbon (Portugal).
Applications can focus on one of any of the 10 CIVITAS themes as well as a range of proven CIVITAS tools. Four take-up levels defining the activities that can be undertaken by an application are available, with different levels of funding for each. The activities described by an application cannot have previously been funded by the Activity Fund, and applications must involve at least one organisation based in an EU Member State or other selected non-EU country.
