Deadline extended for cities to join learning programmes from CIVITAS SUMPs-Up project

Up to 40 planning authorities have the opportunity to participate in the next set of learning programmes from the CIVITAS SUMPs-Up project and deepen their knowledge of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans.

The third and fourth rounds of the SUMP Learning Programme (SLP) start in September and December 2018 respectively. Together, these two groups of mobility practitioners will form the second Expert Group of SUMP cities.

The six-month programmes combine knowledge transfer and testing and assessment with learning on concepts, approaches, tools, and methodologies for SUMP development.

Both programmes focus on the SUMP elaboration process. The activities blend online and face-to-face learning and exchange. Participants also benefit from a peer review and support from SUMPs-Up mobility experts.

SUMPs-Up is seeking mobility and transport professionals active in local or regional transport planning authorities with sustainable mobility planning experience. Those currently elaborating their first SUMP are also encouraged to apply.

All applicants must be based in a European Union Member State or a country in the European Economic Area.

The new application deadline is 18:00 CET on 23 April. To access the application form and call documentation, click here.
