The Smart Cities Marketplace, of which ICLEI is a supporting entity, is offering a financing masterclass that will take place on 16 November 2023, in an online format.  In the context of the Smart Cities Marketplace matchmaking services, representatives of city administrations and smart city project developers are invited to submit their project ideas to the Smart Cities Marketplace. The masterclass will be organised following the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona on 07-09 November 2023.

As both ICLEI Europe and the Smart Cities Marketplace will have a stand at the Congress, our experts can sit with you and help shape your project concept. Once your project is submitted, you can participate in a free masterclass focused on the bankability of the projects, and you will receive relevant insights and expertise from different stakeholders, including investors.

The masterclass also offers insights into European smart city good practices, allowing you to explore which approach might fit best with your plans or projects. It will also provide the grounds for the individual development of a city strategy or a project concept with support from the Marketplace matchmaking team. There is no commitment or any cost to submitting it. For those projects not quite ready for investment, the matchmaking team will work alongside you and provide guidance on how to improve the content of the intake, namely on the financing masterclass.
