Is your city ready to accelerate its climate action? Run by NetZeroCities, including experts from ICLEI, the Twinning Learning Programme is open again for applications, offering cities a chance to twin with a Mission City who are carrying out pilot activities related to the twin’s interests.

The programme lasts 18 months and will include expert and financial support for visits to and from the Mission City that the twin is matched with.

A new cohort of 19 twin cities has just been welcomed, including ICLEI Member Cascais (Portugal) - congratulations! They will be paired with another ICLEI Member and Mission City, Aarhus (Denmark), to exchange knowledge and will develop a Twin City Action Plan for their climate transition.

The Twinning Learning Programme "is an inspiring opportunity to foster collaboration between ambitious communities willing to embrace the challenge to reach carbon neutrality by 2030,” says João Dinis, Climate Action Director for Cascais.
“By embarking on this journey, we hope to share both knowledge and a revitalising energy to create a healthier, competitive, and sustainable living environment for all our residents.”
