Mobility stakeholders invited to take part in free webinars

The EU-funded SOLUTIONS project is launching a series of free webinars that will help urban mobility professionals gain knowledge on how to make transport in cities more sustainable. The webinars, which will run for one month between November and December, will be presented by SOLUTIONS urban mobility experts and range from topics such as the transportation of goods to Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs).

The first webinar is on Tuesday 3 November and focuses on city logistics and improving the overall efficiency of goods deliveries in cities. On Friday 13 November there will be an introduction to electric vehicles as well as guidance on how to increase their use in urban environments. An urban mobility expert will offer an overview of the SUMP concept on Wednesday 18 November, with further group discussion focused on case examples and transferability to a variety of local context conditions, while the session on Thursday 3 December will concentrate on sustainable public transport, focusing particularly on bus rapid transit and clean vehicles.

The final webinar of the series, on Friday 8 December, will be on light electric vehicles (LEVs), discussing what they can do for and how they can be integrated into urban transport. Registration for the webinars is available online.
