Parisians invited to vote on plan to help make the city carbon neutral

From 25 May – 3 June, inhabitants of ICLEI Member Paris (France) will be invited to vote on the city’s ambitious new climate, air and energy plan which aims to help make Paris a carbon neutral city.

The city hopes to achieve this aim through implementing actions such as renovating buildings, promoting green finance, encouraging sustainable urban mobility, and boosting renewable energy.

However, these actions combined would only account for 20 percent of carbon emissions in the French capital, with the other 80 percent coming from inhabitants themselves.

To tackle this issue, the new climate, air and energy plan hopes to mobilise all relevant stakeholders and sectors of society to work towards achieving this ambitious goal.
