Public buyers: what are your main areas of interest?

Public buyers: what are your main areas of interest, challenges and needs?

Public buyers in the EU are invited to fill in a survey to indicate their main public procurement areas of interest, challenges and needs. Survey responses will be used to narrow down a list of key public procurement topics, and to create ten new Communities of Practice to explore the areas of the highest importance to public buyers.

This work is part of the Big Buyers Working Together (BBWT) project, which aims to enable public buyers across Europe to find innovative and sustainable solutions to their current procurement challenges. BBWT is a European Commission initiative coordinated by ICLEI Europe, Eurocities, and BME.

The Communities of Practice that it convenes will be hosted on a Public Buyers Community Platform, providing participants a platform to collaborate, build capacity, exchange knowledge and best practices, and maximise their potential to drive market demand for innovative and sustainable products, goods and services. The Big Buyers Working Together project will also fund various activities for members, such as participation in meetings and study visits, the organisation of market engagement activities and support to develop tender documentation and criteria.
