Workshop

Local Value Chains

A key aspect of a more sustainable bioeconomy

3 July 2019, 12:30 - 18:00
Sigmaringen, Germany

Please note that this event will take place in German.

Are you eager to know more about the important role that the creation of new, local value chains based on renewable raw materials has on local bioeconomies? Then be sure to join this interactive workshop and product show.

As part of the BioVoices project, ICLEI Europe, together with the city of Sigmaringen (Germany), who is coordinating the AlpBioEco project, will bring together key German and European stakeholders from academia, civil society, business and public policy to discuss multi-perspective solutions, ideas and public policy recommendations regarding current challenges for the bioeconomy in Germany.

The event aims to facilitate the exchange of best practices on topics including: the creation of new value chains related to bio-waste, garden waste, crop residues, maritime materials and/or insect protein; new green and innovative public procurement initiatives; and more. The agenda also covers topics like the promotion of a modified regulatory framework that promotes the creation of value chains from raw material production to sourcing, certification and sale processes.

A product show is being featured in the event. Interested exhibitors of bio-based products, projects and services can contact Ms. Alexandra Pfohl (alexandra.pfohl@iclei.org) for more information on exhibition opportunities.
