CIVITAS Forum 2016

The 2016 edition of the CIVITAS Forum Conference will take place from 28 - 30 September in the Polish city of Gdynia. The conference will take as its theme 'Shaping the Mobility of Tomorrow' and will bring together local governments, EU policy-makers, transport practitioners and researchers to discuss how to develop clean, safe and efficient mobility for the future.

Topics highlighted at the conference will include smart cities, electric buses, inclusive and shared mobility, intelligent transport systems, urban freight logistics and clean alternative fuels. A number of site visits are planned during the conference, including of Gdynia's trolleybus system and its new traffic management centre.

Awards will also be presented to CIVITAS cities at a ceremony during the conference, as well as awards for the European Cycling Challenge which took place in May. A draft programme is currently available to view, and attendance at the conference is free of charge.
