ICLEI Europe is hosting a workshop under the Covenant CapaCITY project in Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany) on 23 -25 October. The workshop is intended for local government decision-makers on energy policy and technical staff working in a local government context, and focuses on Sustainable Energy Action Plans, which are intended to help municipal governments see where and how to reduce their emissions.

The workshop will consist of a study tour over the first two days and a workshop on the final day. The study tour will introduce local policy, strategies, exemplary approaches, ideas and inspiration for participants to learn from and be inspired by in their own contexts.

The workshop, entitled ‘Procurement and Financing at Local Renewables’, will include topics such as improving financial access to sustainable energy roll-out, learning from sustainable energy experts, and peer exchange between participants.
