European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2024

13 June 2024, 14:00 - 15:30
Belgium- Brussels (Beligum) and online

Join us at European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2024 for an engaging hybrid policy session, "Acting Locally for a Fair and Inclusive European Green Deal,". The interactive session is organised by the Sun4All project, of which ICLEI is a coordinating partner, and Climate Alliance, and will focus on grassroots empowerment and localised action within the EUSEW framework.

Session highlights include insightful discussions led by a distinguished panel, including representatives from:

  • EC Joint Research Centre
  • New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA)
  • Climate Alliance (and the Covenant of Mayors)
  • Next Energy Consumer
  • Local Energy Agency of Osona

This session promises dynamic engagement and practical insights into the opportunities, challenges, and solutions for community-driven energy initiatives. Register now to the EUSEW here and add the session (on-site or online) to your agenda by clicking on the blue star.

Following the session, the Sun4All consortium will host a policy cocktail hour at the Scotland House on 13 June, 18:00-20:30. This event marks the culmination of the Sun4All project and provides an opportunity for celebration and reflection, including:

  • Keynote speech by Eero Ailio, European Commission DG ENER (TBC)
  • Lessons learnt from Sun4All four pilots localities, ICLEI Members Almada (Portugal), Barcelona (Spain) and Rome (Italy) as well as Coeur de Savoie (France).
  • Academic outlook by the University of Stavanger
  • Networking aperitif and cocktail

Join to celebrate and learn more about the Sun4All project. To attend the policy cocktail, register here.
