On 10 July, UrbanByNature, the global programme for urban nature pioneers, will kick off its webinar series for the Caucasus region.
In this introductory webinar, UrbanByNature will present its facilitated capacity-building and expertise-sharing programme to help lift the barriers to urban nature and set cities and towns on a new green course. Participants will learn what nature-based solutions (NBS) actually are in both European and Caucasian contexts, as well as about how to build the capacity of local stakeholders towards implementing nature-based solutions step-by-step.
During the webinar, participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences and to explore common questions with speakers:
- Tiago Freitas, Policy Officer, Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, European Commission, Belgium
- Marcus Collier, Connecting Nature Project Coordinator, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland
- Daniela Rizzi, Officer, Sustainable Resources Climate and Resilience, ICLEI, Germany
- Mamuka Gvilava, GIS and RS Consulting Center "GeoGraphic", Tbilisi, Georgia
- Lilit Sahakyan, Center for Ecological-Noosphere Studies (CENS), National Academy of Sciences, Yerevan, Armenia
The webinar will be moderated by Philipp La Haela Walter, ICLEI Europe.
