The first European Fat, Oil and Grease (FOG) summit is set to take place in Amsterdam (The Netherlands), 6 March 2019.

The event will cover the entire Fat, Oil and Grease lifecycle: from the kitchens to the final recycling plant, providing global networking opportunities and learning experiences, presenting theory and success stories on behavioural management, collaboration, and new technologies applied throughout the entire FOG cycle.

This summit, which is the first of its kind in Europe, will showcase the latest achievements in industry led research, communication and application of technologies, bringing together water companies and their suppliers, local authorities, environmental consultants, health officers and anyone with an interest in the future of FOG.

A mix of keynote speeches and panel discussions make up the programme. Barbara Anton, Coordinator Urban Water Management, Sustainable Resources, Climate and Resilience of ICLEI Europe will participate in a panel discussion titled “Zero Waste by 2020: Resource Recovery for a more Circular City.”

The European FOG Summit is an initiative from SwiftComply, in cooperation with Stichting Waternet and endorsed by the European Union. ICLEI is a conference partner.
