Connect with ICLEI Europe at COP27

At COP26 in ICLEI Member Glasgow (or: the 26th United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties), we proved that the #Time4MultilevelAction had come. Now, we are demonstrating that #MultilevelActionDelivers at COP27 in Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt).

ICLEI is the official focal point for the Local Governments and Municipal Authorities (LGMA) constituency to the UN climate negotiations.

Attend all LGMA events by registering at: https://www.cities-and-regions.org/register/

Our four-point advocacy agenda for COP27 – namely: enhancing Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) through multilevel action, addressing unfinished business, welcoming the first Climate & Urbanisation Ministerial, and empowering Africa and the MENA Region – recognises that we are in climate emergency mode, and multilevel action is ready to deliver in response.

In addition to our role as LGMA focal point, the ICLEI Europe team will be on the ground at COP27 contributing expertise and advocating for the crucial role of local and regional authorities. Here is where you will be able to find ICLEI Europe throughout COP27 – please note that the times indicated correspond to the local time in Sharm el Sheikh (i.e. UTC+2):
