ICLEI World Congress to see strong European representation

Every three years, ICLEI holds its World Congress to showcase how local and regional governments within its network are advancing sustainable urban development worldwide. With over 800 expected participants and more than 200 speakers, the World Congress provides a platform to move the sustainable urban development agenda forward.

The 2018 World Congress, set to take place in Montreal (Canada), 19-22 June, will consist of workshops, presentations, networking events, and plenary sessions across a number of ICLEI’s core thematic areas.

This year’s Congress will see strong European representation from European cities, with confirmed attendance from Mayors, Deputy Mayors, city officials and representatives from ICLEI Member cities such as Aalborg (Denmark), Mannheim (Germany), Gent (Belgium), Turku (Finland), Florence (Italy), Budapest (Hungary), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Tirana (Albania) and Barcelona (Spain), just to name a few.
