ICLEI to share tools with international stakeholders at The Nature of Cities Summit

ICLEI will be sharing insights and experiences with urban stakeholders from around the world at The Nature of Cities (TNOC) Summit in Paris (France) on 4-7 June.

The Summit will convene a diverse group of international stakeholders representing communities, cities and local governments, policy makers, and researchers, among others. The event aims to spark conversations to build a “collaborative and transdisciplinary movement for green cities that are just, liveable, resilient, healthy, and sustainable.”

On 6 June, ICLEI Europe staff will co-present a session on making cities more inclusive through co-creating nature-based solutions. The session will consist of a hands-on guided exercise, featuring European cities who will share concrete examples of having successfully co-created inclusive nature-based interventions, and whose efforts are internationally replicable.

ICLEI Africa will host a session on the same day, presenting innovative methods for improving stakeholder dialogue through games. Attendees will participate in a number of these games to gain first-hand experience on how to effectively use these tools in their own contexts.

Finally, the new CitiesWithNature platform will be presented to the diverse array of TNOC attendees. CitiesWithNature is a global knowledge sharing platform launched by ICLEI, IUCN and The Nature Conservancy that includes “The Nature Pathway” – a collection of guidance, tools and inspirational examples to help local and regional governments share their work on nature and learn about best practices and tools.
