The environmental field is constantly changing with new and interesting findings pouring in. How to keep up to date with the latest news in the field to ensure sound decision-making? To support policy makers, the European Commission has created the Science for Environment Policy Service.

Science for Environment Policy (SfEP) is a free news and information service managed by the Directorate-General for Environment. The aim of the service is to offer easy access to quality scientific research on environmental policy issues. Through news alerts and briefs, SfEP helps policymakers keep up to date with environmental research findings needed to advance their work efficiently and effectively.

Science for Environment Policy’s Future Briefs help decision makers stay on top of the latest scientific findings relevant to environmental policies. SfEP releases Future Briefs on the latest environmental topics, such as new technologies and innovations and their impact on the environment.
