The European Urban Resilience Forum, formerly known as Open European Day, will be taking place in Bonn (Germany) on 25 June 2019.

The Forum has a few spaces left, which are exclusively reserved for cities. Limited funding is available for ICLEI Member Cities.

Since its first edition in 2013, the Forum has continued to offer a unique exchange platform where practitioners and policy makers from cities and regions of all sizes, representatives from national governments and European institutions, researchers, consultants, and financing institutions come together to discuss strategies and actions for adapting to climate change and building urban resilience.

The 2019 European Urban Resilience Forum will feature three topical session streams on: (1) nature-based solutions for urban resilience, (2) multi-level governance for adaptation planning, and (3) financing resilience and adaptation. In the tradition of past Forums, the event will be interactive and ‘powerpoint-free’ to foster dialogue and exchange. It will also include a marketplace, promoting networking and introducing participants to relevant initiatives and projects.

The Forum has support from the European Commission, the European Investment Bank, Covenant of Mayors, LIFE and the Committee of the Regions. These organisations will be present at the event to actively contribute to the discussions alongside cities, businesses and research organisations.
