Mannheim2020 goes online

If this year has taught us anything, it is that the old saying rings true: “the only constant in life is change.” And so, we adapt: Mannheim2020 is going online! Join us for this 9th European Conference on Sustainable Cities & Towns to be part of taking transformation forward.

What is new?

The online format makes Mannheim2020 more accessible. Registration is open to even more participants, the conference is now free of charge and provides interactive features for networking and discussions.

What remains?

The dates are the same: Mannheim2020 will run from 30 September – 2 October 2020 and will feed into the EU Green Deal and the new Leipzig Charter. It will feature high level speakers who are boldly taking forward the transformation of our cities and towns, and will bring together key European stakeholders across government levels

The mannheim2020.eu website is updated regularly. All of the plenary, policy panel, toolbox and solution session topics from our original programme will be explored in the online format.

We will be in touch with session updates, new speakers, and calls for your input. In the meantime, check out our current programme, and follow @sustain_cities for more information.

Showcase your Transformative Action

Apply for the 2020 Transformative Action Award to showcase how your city, region or civil society organisation has used the Basque Declaration to make your community more sustainable. You could win 10,000 EUR to kick-start your next sustainability project! Applications are due by 31 July and winners will be announced during Mannheim2020.
