Online conference Climate 2010 gets underway

The Climate 2010 online conference is now underway. Organised by the ICLEI European Secretariat, Climate 2010 consists of online discussions, in the form of facilitated live chats with several key experts on the topic. Anyone can watch them, from any part of the world and everyone can submit questions for consideration by the facilitator.

‘Local governments in the post-Kyoto process: how to move adaptation in the urban water management higher on the agenda’, which will be discussed on 5 Nov 2010 at 3 p.m. CET, is one of the events in this unique conference that will be of prime interest to those working in and for cities.

A truly global scientific conference, Climate 2010 will be the third in this series and is organised by the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in co-operation with UNEP, UNESCO, WMO, IPCC, FAO and other international partners. The theme this year is the impact of climate change on water supplies and the need to promote sustainable water use across the world. The event programme has organised a chat for each day between now and its conclusion on 6 November.
