Would you like to develop the education to Nature-based Solutions (NbS) in your community or organisation? Is your organisation involved in education, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), or NbS activities, regardless of its size or sector?

Then you might be interested in joining the 10 partners and six demonstrator organisations of NBS EduWORLD, a forerunner Horizon Europe project at the crossroads between Nature-based Solutions and education. The overall objective of NBS EduWORLD is to nurture an NbS literate society, supporting a just transition to a sustainable future. ICLEI Europe represents the local authorities´ voice in this consortium, which learns from the experiences of ICLEI Members Almada (Portugal) and Paris (France), as well as Offaly (Ireland), Moldova, Genova (Italy) and Belgrade (Serbia).

NBS EduWORLD is calling for collaborations to revolutionise Nature-based Solutions by testing and creating new NbS education resources and activities. The objective of this call is to foster inclusivity by welcoming newcomers and organisations of any size into the fold, make NbS education accessible to all, promote active European citizenship at the grassroots level, and expand NbS education resources to a broader audience.

Any organisation in the public sector, business realm, community associations, or academia can apply. They have to operate in rural, urban, or coastal ecosystems, which are the focus of the project. Selected organisations will receive comprehensive support to implement NbS education activities, including the involvement from youth in material development, the co-organisation of education activities, the utilisation of learning materials, and feedback provision to enhance the scalability and effectiveness of NbS education resources. Activities proposed should be implemented latest by May 2025
