Registration opens and programme released for upcoming mobility event

Over the past several years, 16 cities across Europe – including pioneering ICLEI Members Antwerp (Belgium), Turku (Finland), Stockholm (Sweden) and Aberdeen (United Kingdom) – have been acting as 'Living Labs', testing out new urban mobility solutions as part of three distinct projects. These 'labs' explored sustainble mobility in: suburban districts; urban freight logistics; tourism; and in port cities.

From 6-20 October, all 16 cities are coming together to present their final results, and the 175 sustainable urban mobility solutions they have tested and demonstrated over the past four years.

A varied programme will provide insights into the cities’ achievements, lessons learnt and successes through three live sessions, held on 6 October, 13 October, and 20 October. The programme will also include inputs by Matthew Baldwin, Deputy Director-General at DG MOVE (European Commission), and Octavia Stepan, Project Officer at INEA (European Commission).

Between weekly live sessions, daily releases of inspirational material will enable immersion in the 16 Living Lab cities. A mixture of presentations, publications and videos will illustrate their mobility work.
