Tell the world you’re a Basque endorser with free digital icon

Since first being acclaimed by the participants of the 8th European Conference on Sustainable Cities & Towns in 2016, the Basque Declaration has grown in popularity, and is currently endorsed by over 500 towns, cities, and regions across the world, and a further 370+ individuals and organisations.

The Basque Declaration presents towns and cities with 15 pathways they can use to bring about socio-cultural, socio-economic and technological transformation of their societies, while at the same time contributing to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals at the local level.

More information on how the 15 pathways can be used to localise the Sustainable Development Goals is laid-out in a new guidance document, recently published by ICLEI Europe, the City of Aalborg (Denmark) and the Basque Country, titled: 15 pathways to localise the Sustainable Development Goals.

Towns and cities who have endorsed the Basque Declaration are encouraged to tell the world by adding a free digital icon to their website or email signature. The icon is free to use, copyright free and available in multiple formats. If you want to tell the world you’re a Basque Declaration endorser, download the digital icon from the Sustainable Cities Platform.

Additionally, if you’re a town, city, region or civil society organisation who has been using the pathways of the Basque Declaration to advance sustainability in your local community using an interesting and transformative action, share it with the rest of the world by adding it to the Transformative Action Database.
