Webinar series launched on financing smart solutions

The European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities (EIP-SCC) invites all interested persons to join a new series of webinars covering subjects relevant for any city looking to find financing for their projects in the fields of smart mobility, energy or urban development.

The webinar series covers a range of topics for dedicated professionals on the topics most relevant to financing projects.

Mark Hidson, Global Director of ICLEI's Sustainable Procurement Centre, explains: “European cities can impact CO2 reductions substantially by deploying smart solutions in urban areas. We know cities are ready and willing, but too often projects are stalled or postponed due to lack of financing in city budgets. These webinars present how cities can channel private initiatives to unlock investment and deliver projects."

The series kicked-off on 21 April (catch-up by watching the recording here), and will continue over the coming months. The following topics will be covered:

  • Smart City Project Due Diligence, 21 April, watch the recording
  • Risk Assessment Scrutinised, 7 May, 15:00-16:00 CEST
  • Delivery Models, Funding & Procurement for Smart Cities, 18 June, 10:00-11:30, register here
  • Master Class on Project Bankability, date TBC.

Be sure to stay up to date by following EIP-SCC on Twitter or LinkedIn.
