SIRCULAR aims to create digital tools, technological solutions, and non-technical services for the decarbonisation of the built environment. It will also develop a ready-to-use methodology to assess the circularity of buildings and evaluate the impact of construction technologies used in the demo cases. These features are designed to improve access to decarbonisation information for non-experts and provide construction professionals with tools to easily evaluate and enhance circularity in their projects.

SIRCULAR will engage the entire supply chain involved in all phases of a building's life cycle to increase circularity and sustainability in four national clusters: Estonia, Spain, Germany, and Greece. This will involve construction companies, housing companies, universities, and local administrative entities.

The solutions developed by the project will adopt a multidisciplinary approach, integrating technical, economic, and social perspectives with a focus on social and policy innovation. SIRCULAR will prioritise a people-centric approach, addressing the needs, ambitions, and well-being of individuals and communities as key players in the decarbonisation of the construction industry, and facilitating a just and affordable transition.
