In co-operation with UNEP and IAMLADP, ICLEI has produced a Guide to assist any organisation in reducing the environmental impacts of small and medium sized meetings (for up to 200 participants), and help leave a positive legacy in the host community.
This guide is designed to assist organisers and hosts of small- to medium-sized meetings of up to 200 participants in greening their meetings - from partners meetings to small conferences. It is applicable to all organisations, not just those within the UN system.
The Guide consists of two sections. The first introduces the concept of green meetings, exploring management and communication principles, and highlighting the key environmental impacts which meetings can have.
The second section is a practical checklist of recommended action which can be undertaken to green your meeting.
