ICLEI among finalists for European website awards

Two ICLEI Europe-developed websites have been selected as finalists for the 2023 edition of the prestigious .eu Web Awards!

Since 2014, the .eu Web Awards have recognised effective and impactful websites with a domain name ending in .eu. This year, the Sustainable Just Cities website – a hub for projects and resources that help build sustainable and just cities – is a finalist in the “Laurels” category. And, the website for the DECIDE project – a project (funded by Horizon 2020) that works to better understand and support energy communities and energy efficiency services – is a finalist in the “Better World” category.

Sustainable Just Cities was up against 128 websites in its category, while DECIDE shone from amongst the 59 other websites nominated in the Better World category. Finalist selection was based on public voting, and we most sincerely thank all those who supported ICLEI’s website work with their votes.

Following a review by the .eu Web Awards Jury, winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 16 November in ICLEI Member Brussels (Belgium), and will receive a trophy and a grand prize of €5000 towards a marketing campaign that will help their website’s valuable knowledge reach more people.

ICLEI has a strong history of success in previous editions of the .eu Web Awards, winning for CityLoops (Better World category, 2022), SMR (Laurels category, 2017), and EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK (Better World category, 2016). We hope to once again bring home a trophy this year!
