The 3ENCULT project has been awarded the “Premio Innovación AR&PA 2012” at the 8th Biennial of Heritage Restoration and Management fair (AR&PA), which took place in the City of Valladolid (Spain). The award recognises the best project presented at the event, and this year the jury recognised the work of the 3ENCULT project team in the field of energy efficiency applied to cultural heritage.
The “AR&PA Innovación 2012” presented innovative and outstanding prototypes, research, and implementation projects in the field of cultural heritage protection. The 3ENCULT project was chosen for the award for its exemplary actions in facilitating the connection between conservation of landmarks and citizens, boosting links between cultural heritage and society.
The project also disseminated a newsletter on news and updates of its activities. During ICLEI’s forum Resilient Cities 2012, 3ENCULT presented its results and experiences on the issues of urban areas, historic buildings and climate change. The AR&PA Innovation Programme aims to serve as a platform to show the results of all relevant research projects carried out within the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission.
