ICLEI Member Muratpaşa is an active member of the sustainability community, going above and beyond in circular economy and community engagement. The municipality now offers a new service of great use to the public, with its release of the Muratpaşa Climate Portal. The website gathers environmental studies under one roof, providing news and documents from the municipality’s environmental studies. The website has been released as Muratpasa is organising environmental education events, (rated favorable 7 times in a row by the Turkish Environmental Education Foundation (TÜRÇEV)).

Titled “Climate and Everything”, the website includes news from the 3rd Muratpaşa Environment Festival, which was held on May 12-15 this year. The programme for the festival included everything from environmental activities of the municipality to the Environmental Neighbor Card project, a project which encourages a sharing economy.

In addition to sharing news, the website also includes videos on how to make natural toothpaste, deodorant and surface cleaner. Furthermore, proceedings from a recent international climate change workshop, “+0.5 The Future of the Mediterranean”, held on 12-15 November are also available online. All materials are available in Turkish.
