The DECIDE and Sustainable Just Cities websites, both created and managed by ICLEI Europe, are finalists for the 2023 .eu Web Awards! They are nominated in the “Better World” and “Laurels” categories respectively, which are for websites that represent green initiatives and pan-European efforts.
Since 2014, the .eu Web Awards have been recognising effective and impactful websites with a domain name ending in .eu and ICLEI has had a strong history of success in previous years, winning awards for CityLoops (Better World category, 2022), SMR (Laurels category, 2017), and EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK (Better World category, 2016). This year, the voting period spans from 18 April 2023 - 18 Aug 2023 with the option to vote once per day. Following a review by the .eu Web Awards Jury, winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 16 November in ICLEI Member Brussels (Belgium), and receive a trophy and a grand prize of €5000 towards a marketing campaign.

The Projects
DECIDE - Developing Energy Communities through Information and Collective Action, aims to gain a better understanding of how energy communities and energy efficiency services are established and managed. It also intends to identify which kind of communications and interactions work best to encourage participation in energy communities for specific types of individuals and groups, and to test and transfer knowledge in pilot projects across Europe. Learn more about DECIDE here.
The Sustainable Just Cities website is a hub for a variety of projects and resources that help build cities that are both sustainable and just. It collects tools for decision makers, administrators, and advocates to create cities that work towards an equal, inclusive, and sustainable future for all. Check out Sustainable Just Cities here.
