Open European Day

28 May 2014
Bonn, Germany- Gustav-Stresemann-Institute

Following enthusiastic feedback from last year’s event, ICLEI Europe and the European Environmental Agency (EEA) are pleased to announce the return of the Open European Day on 28 May 2014. Kicking off the 3 day Resilient Cities Conference in Bonn (29-31 May), the event will focus on climate change adaptation within an urban environment.

The forum provides an opportunity to share experiences, learn from others and discuss solutions in a lively and interactive city to city exchange. Local politicians, adaptation managers and practitioners, and key urban adaptation stakeholders are encouraged to participate in open discussions with each other and experts in the field.

The event will be structured around three core adaptation themes: vulnerability and risk assessments; the economics of adaptation; and multi-level governance cooperation and approaches. Each of these themes will be divided into three parallel breakout sessions - management and implementation, sectors and measures, and techniques and tools - in order to offer each participant the most appropriate learning angle for their work.

Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to make your city more resilient.

The event is free of charge. For more information and to register, click on the link below.
